A German man has held his breath underwater for 15 minutes and two seconds, breaking his own world record on a television show.
Tom Sietas, 30, beat his previous record by 37 seconds on the Live with Regis and Kelly television show in the US on Thursday.
His feat was helped by a pre-stunt inhalation of 20 minutes of pure oxygen and a five-hour fast, Reuters reports.
从别人的Blog上看到的这个Ad Generator，感觉就像摄影师给自己的照片取名字一样，成为你遐想的诱因，但是却不会让你局限于其中。本身我们这个世界就是一个组合，不同的组合产生了不同的景观。基因组合的不同让我们每个人有幸成为自己，而不是无区别的雷同。各异的组合是好的，也许你不认为这是创意，但是创意却是从中产生的。
The Ad Generator将现实商业社会中的广告用语进行重新组合，从而生成所谓的“Invented Slogans”，然后再根据这些新的广告用语从Flickr的图片库中抓取相关图片，最终生成一幅副全新的广告宣传作品。从实际生成的效果看，具有视觉冲击力的画面和充满文化内涵的词语完美结合在一起，绝对可以算作一流的商业广告作品了。不过The Ad Generator的目的却并非是给广告制作者提供什么灵感，而是要通过这种方式展现广告是如何通过亮丽的辞藻和画面来营造一种氛围，或是挑起消费者内心的一种情绪，从而引导他们的消费取向，即使这些词语和画面与他们出售的商品并没有什么直接的关系。

- John Howard是一个善于利用新玩意的总理。最起码看起来是这样的，在这个网络世界，大家都有自己的Blog，文字的或者视频的，他也不例外。可是大家好像对他过于不友好，所以他的Blog就不再可以让人留言了。可是那也挡不住大家篡改他的视频，底下提到的This One中，John Howard提倡所有的妇女就应该待在厨房里学习厨艺，让人忍俊不禁。
- 这个Gap Year也值得中国或者没有Gap Year的国家学习。第一可以让学生为自己的将来做一个充分的准备和打算；第二可以在财力上做些准备；第三可以让学生增强爱国意识，并有机会学习真正的保护国家的本领；第四可以让学生学习某些求生的技能，不至于像书呆子一样，什么都不会，只会夸夸其谈。

The Prime Minister John Howard has used video sharing site YouTube to announce a program that will offer students a year’s service in the Australian Defence Force in their “gap year” at the end of high school.
It is the third time Mr Howard has used the file sharing site, with earlier posts about his decision to fund Latrobe’s Mersey Hospital in Tasmania and another to discuss climate change.
His first post, about climate change, attracted almost 59,000 views in three weeks, while the hospital announcement attracted more than 9000 views in one week.
The use of YouTube has led to a series of parody videos such as this one about his climate change policy, but they have not been as popular as the genuine clips.
Mr Howard’s home page on YouTube no longer displays any comments after it was repeatedly targeted by users posting abusive messages.
In today’s message, Mr Howard said each year about 34,000 young Australians take a year off between finishing year 12 and before embracing a long-term career or starting tertiary education.
“We’d like to offer them another choice – a gap year in the Australian Defence Force [ADF] to see if a career in the Navy, the Army or the Air Force is something they’d consider.
“Serving the country through the ADF is extremely rewarding and one of the most respected career choices a young person can make,” he said.
“The gap year program provides a great opportunity for 17- to 24-year-olds to do something very worthwhile for their country while gaining new skills at the same time,” he said.
Details of the Defence gap year would be announced later today and television ads to promote the new program will be screened from tonight.

昨天和今天试验了Google Apps提供的专业版的Google Page Creator，发现中国的用户无法正常访问google的这个杰作。所以我的www.febird.com也就无法被中国用户访问，这个让人比较郁闷，希望以后可以解决这个问题。中国政府的管制到了这种地步，让人心寒，我很热爱我的祖国，可是为什么不管好的坏的都管制呢？经过试验我们发现可以通过代理服务器的方式来访问我的网站。
